In 2008 after relocating back home to Houston from Ohio, Porshea was visiting a friend when a gentleman approached her about a network marketing company, she told him she was focused on her motivational speaking career and if he’d had any connections in that area she’d love to know who. He immediately told her she should connect with his friend Jarrod who was also a great speaker.
A few days later Porshea received a phone call from Jarrod where they discovered they had a lot more in common professionally. They were both in the same network marketing company years before, under the same leadership, but never met or knew of each other. The conversation was short and to the point, and they decided to stay in touch by keeping each other informed on anything business related.
In July 2009 Porshea received a Facebook chat message from Jarrod where he invited her out to meet about a new project he was launching.

Neither shared with the other what was really going on in their lives. Porshea had just received an eviction and repossession notice a few hours before Jarrod messaged her to meet. Jarrod had a foreclosure on a property he owned, was facing eviction in his current home and repossession as well.

Even though she didn’t have the money to get started she maximized the week long launch period, and duplicated his efforts to show him and his sponsor she was serious. Porshea went on to become Jarrod’s biggest producer for the first year.
Their relationship grew from business to best friends, and later confidants. After a year of working together, Jarrod prayed then took the leap and shared with her his true feelings; he was in love.
After spending a week ignoring him and praying, Porshea said yes and immediately stepped in to love and make a Godly impact in the life of his 10 month old dancing and singing baby princess Chandler. In an effort to lay the proper foundation they kept their relationship private.
After 3 years of many ups, downs; from $5 date nights with Redbox movies to traveling the world together; with proper spiritual council and leadership, Jarrod recruited her again.
On September 5, 2013 during a business trip at the St. Regis Bal Harbour in Miami, he told Porshea they needed to go to the beach to meet with a few partners about their business. Little did she know this “business meeting” was a cover up for the big moment!
6 months later on March 1, 2014 they became Husband, Wife and Kingdom parents to then 5 year old Chandler.
The Marriage Covenant was confirmed in front of the fire place at their new home in Houston, Texas. Porshea cooked all the food the night before, they went shopping in their closets for their outfits, and had the best time in the presence of God and a small group of loved ones.

A year later, after an unexpected life altering surgery Porshea stepped into her purpose by launching the Straight Talk Woman Talk platform a weekly call that takes place Monday’s at 8:00pCST|9:00pEST 1 (712) 432-3011 pin 845165 and an event system called “Straight Talk Woman Talk Intensive”. Jarrod stepped into his after a prophetic encounter with his mentor Dr. Myles Munroe.
